General SEED Scholarship
The SEED Scholars Honors Program provides need-based awards that are renewable annually for up to a maximum of eight semesters (four years). Scholars with financial need are awarded a scholarship up to $10,000 annually as assessed by the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office. Students who are also Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholars DO NOT qualify for this need-based award.
Out-of-State SEED Scholarship
The SEED Scholars Honors Program also provides additional need-based awards for out-of-state students that are renewable annually for up to a maximum of four years. Out-of-state scholars with financial need are awarded a scholarship of up to $10,000 annually as assessed by the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office. This scholarship can be in addition to the general SEED Scholarship. Students who are also Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholars DO NOT qualify for this need-based award.
Research Stipend
The SEED Scholars Honors Program provides research stipends of up to $10,000 annually in funding for scholars in support of their current research projects. Scholars can begin to apply for this stipend starting in the summer after their first year at UC Berkeley. This stipend can be in addition to the General SEED Scholarship and the Out-of-State SEED Scholarship. Students who are also Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholars DO qualify for this stipend.
